He's replacing Terry Blount as the beat writer. Apparently he's a great writer and it seems like a lot of Eagles fans are sad to lose him.

I did some research. This guy knows his football and is beloved by Eagles fans as a knowledgable writer. He's only written for the Eagles and so he will almost certainly make mistakes his first year, but he strikes me as a professional who will throw himself into his work and I expect we'll come to like him as much, if not more, than Sando if we give him a chance.

But yeah, he'll probably make some uneducated observations at first while he gets up to speed on everything Seahawks.

Everything I hear is that the guy is an all-22 nut and loves detailed breakdowns.

We had Sando. Then we had a dunce. Now it seems we have another good one.

I haven't seen the guy say anything about taking the job on his Twitter account. Just a ton of thank you replies to bummed eagles fans and other writers. This one stood out to me from Grantland's Bill Barnwell:

If the guy is indeed taking the Hawks beat for ESPN, it looks like we got about the least Terry Blount esque replacement possible.

Yes!!! TB was the worst. I love a true football fan/nut as the reporter for my favorite team. Just the facts.

Here was his excellent in-depth breakdown of our game against the Eagles last year:

That was an awesome read. I am even happier now! Thanks for the link!
If you read the comments according to Eagles fans they lost because the refs gave it to us. I believe they played Dallas the following week and they just followed the Seahawks blue print and won.

Eagles fans are for the birds. And cheesesteaks in Philly are overrated.

Thanks for the update, this guy reads like a winner winner, chicken dinner.

I had never even heard of the guy, but Bill Barnwell's kind words about him are enough to make me believe you guys are pretty lucky, indeed.

Since Sando left and they went to the individual team beats both the 9ers guys (Bill Williamson and Paul Gutierrez) have been absolutely atrocious. Not a big deal for 9ers fans b/c we already have four or five really good people fully dedicated to the 9ers beat for varius outlets (in addition to a pretty crappy one and then the columnists), but it would still be nice to have a data journalist covering the team regularly (which we don't have).

We were dumb and didn't draft/sign Moon out of Washington. I say we are due all of the gaffes he delivers. :D

Warren does make verbal stumbles, but he also knows his stuff. He frequently predicts accurately what a penalty will be and that sort of thing when there's a stoppage in play.
