SUMMARY: It's been tough for him to watch practice without participating. This was his first major injury. He said he was battling an adverse situation, including thoughts about whether he still loved the game. He described it as having demons in his head. He plays the game with such intensity that it took a toll on him, both mentally and physically. You have to love the game and your teammates to put your body through it. Earl thinks we won't miss a beat under Coach Richard and will actually get better. He says he was flying around today and is ready to go. But he does not know when he will be fully back, as he can only control what he can control.
