I think he's the man opposite Sherman next year. We can cut Williams' salary and free up some cap space.

It would be this year. He already got his bonus and he'd count against the cap anyway.

I'd say Lane is the best player in our secondary outside of the All-Pros. When he comes off the PUP he will wreck faces.

Smith has looked really promising and Shead surprised the hell out of everyone with his CB performance.

Then look at how well Bailey and Martin jr are doing at safety and the future looks bright.

Williams is pretty guaranteed one year, but I doubt he makes it more than that.

I do think Smith is the guy on that side for the future. He doesn't have Simon's physicality, but he is much smoother and seems more drriven.
