Potentially-Arbitrary Rules

  • Post succinct observations that might make others excited, thoughtful, etc.

140 Character limit to each insight (or post?) {this helps: http://www.lettercount.com/}.

Why not do it on Twitter? .NETters are cut from a higher cloth than most.

& .NET rules exist to educate posters to encourage thoughtful dialog, not stifle it.

Mods: we don't expect you to police these rules, just the official rules. And thank you.

Mine:

Kasen Williams uses his body well for a guy that's had serious injuries.

Tyler Locket (just the PR) vs. Brian Walters will be good for another win this year.

Even I'm beginning to worry about Cary Williams.

TY McGill reminds me of '09 Michael Bennett. Good quicks, persistent, promising technique.

Frank Clark might be a future All-Pro. (Pro-Bowl Schmo-Bowl.)

RockHawk's semen smells like almond extract, women can't get enough of it.

  • Your turn. Or not.

EDIT: clarified character count line.

That was 463 characters, not 140, but even *I* like this thread idea.

How about about we take it to the next logical step and have a Haiku analysis thread?

Jimmy is upset
Russ keeps overthrowing him
Run D looks awesome

I should have specified: each thought (not post) can only be 140 characters (thought that would be inferred by looking closely at my OP).

It's hard to evaluate the run game with 5 different RBs going in there and all those linemen going in and out.

Turbin probably had the best backup RB performance. Michael had a rough night outside of 1 run, hope to see a lot of Rod Smith in 4th game.

There were some broken plays by the OL in the run game, but when they executed a play right they were opening holes.

The Chargers rushed for 156 yards, but Seattle's run D dominated.

Chargers RBs: Gordon, Oliver, Woodhead, and Brown combined for 27 carries for 73 yards. That's 2.7 YPC.

You know how 5-6 times a year King Felix just doesn't have his stuff? That was RW tonight.

Most of the Chargers 1st half dominance simply came down to game prep and a few missing starters for Seattle.

Our corner group after Sherman looks mediocre. Then again, most secondaries look mediocre and lack Richard Sherman.

Front seven is studly. Best ever for Hawks. Even backups looked good.

Wright and Wagner look like they aren't done improving. I was wrong, Wright was worth the money he got.

Five years from now, Frank Clark and Tyler Lockett will be first round picks in some bloggers 2015 hindsight redraft.

Refs called a fairly good game.

Offense is sucking, but it's mostly rust. LOOOOTS of rust...

Archer is horrible. Can't evaluate WRs if 90% of his throws downfield are shit.

Saw flashes of greatness in this game. Feels like this team could be ridiculous when they click. And they probably will at some point.

Cassius Marsh looked good on special teams.

Steven Hauschka is chill. Just this once it would have been fun to see him go full Gramatica (minus the injury) after that game winner.

I hate twitter, but that was fun.

Alright, I'll take a stab at it.

You're alright, for a guy that keeps awful poets at the forefront of my brain (your Avatar).

Last night, Russ was the throttle on the offense.

Trust is a funny thing. Russ has no problem throwing a 5050 ball to Kearse, but won't throw one to Graham.

The RBs don't trust the line. Or playing for a roster spot has them getting outside the offense. Can't tell.

Frank Clark is country strong.

Irvin is a crappy linebacker and a great situational pass rusher.

.

They are already top 10 picks. No need to wait 5 years.

My thoughts in one sentence:

I've never been so happy before in my life to win a preseason game.

Overthrowing is the sign of the "off" Russell Wilson. It never lasts more than one game.

Lockett and Clark best things about the preseason.

Our O-Line still a work in progress.

Beastmode is ready to go.

Our D will be even better than last year.

RW will be fine.

Graham is being held back so season opponents don't know what to expect. Only reason I can think of right now.

Glad the preseason is coming to a close soon.
