I'm not in Kansas anymore. This is the NFL. Football is my job now.

In college, you can get by — even be a star — just on athletic ability. At this level, the game is more mental than it is physical. Everybody who gets the opportunity to play in the NFL is a world-class athlete. At this level, it’s the little things that make you great.

I love the kid's attitude. That along with his talent is the reason they traded so many draft picks to move up to draft him.

This is who Percy Harvin wishes he was....

One of my favorite parts about this kids story is how in his college highlight video he says how he want to go to a team that wants him not just a draft pick. Then we trade a bunch of crap to move up to get him specifically. WOW.

Let the good times roll.

Steve Largent, born Tulsa OK born 9/28
Tyler Lockett born Tulsa OK born 9/28

BOth a shade under 6 feet
Both about 185 lbs.

5 letters in the first name, 7 letters in the last name.

5+7= 12

Even cheesier:
Largent was drafted 1976
Lockett was drafted 2015

2015-1976= 39 years. Same amount of time the Seahawks been in the league.

80 divided 16 is 5.

Largent was selected All-Pro honors 5 times in his Hall of Fame career.

If any sign is to be had, Thundercat is going to be Hall of Fame worthy.

Here's another one
2015-1976= 39 years. Same amount of time the Seahawks been in the league.

I had that calculated as well, as well as the differences in their birthdates.. but it came to 38 :(

Just wanted to point out Tyler Lockett's #'s so far in 3 games. Note that he has not had every rep as a returner as PC has been looking for a backup returner that could be used if needed (Smith looks like a possible keeper here).
-------In the first 3 Preseason games:
7 KO returns for 262-yds, (37.4-yd Avg.) 1-TD.
4 Punt returns for 105-yds, (26.3-yd Avg.), 1-TD.
4 Pass receptions for 52-yds, 13.0=yd Avg.), 0-TD.
TOTAL----419-yds, 139.66-yds per game. -----------NOTE: 66.5% of teams total yds. and 50% of the teams TD's. with only limited opportunities so far as a receiver & returner. (AND this is only the beginning of a OROTY season -IMO.)

Seahawk offense thru the same 3 games: 630-total yds. 210.0-yds per game, 2-TD's.

Largent 2.0? -- Could really be a factual possibility.

Lockett is BY FAR the highest rated returner on PFF this preseason . . . highest rated kickoff returner and highest rated punt returner. Even more impressive, he has only one fair catch on a punt return.

Oh sure this all looks great but the kid only had two catches this last game. That will probably bring his averages way down. :sarcasm_off:

Kid is built. His lower body development is solid. Most of all his speed impresses the hell out of me. Notice when he's running towards the sideline in open space and there's defenders in pursuit, its like he just leans forward and literally outruns the whole pack! Such breakaway speed. I am so excited by this kid.
