Which player is better right now, and which player will have a better career?

I'm gonna have to go with Frank Clark for both. He just looked too dominant in the preseason. What say net?

They are both going to be amazing. I like Lockett's upside because of the number of things he can do on offense and special teams at the highest level.

Honestly?

Frank Clark has superstar written all over him. Dare we say HOF?

Definitely too early to say HOF, let alone superstar. You never know what can happen.

Very optimistic about both of their futures though.

Not to get ahead of ourselves, which is kind of the point of this thread, but how do you compare an All-Pro WR and kick returner vs. an All-Pro 4-3 DE?

I'm not sure I see Lockett ever being an all pro at WR. That's partly because of the Seahawks offense, but there's just so many young, elite WR's currently in the league.

Realistically, it's equally hard to see Clark becoming an All-Pro as a 4-3 DE whose greatest strength is stopping the run. But I wouldn't put limits on how we view either of them. The sky if the limit for both players if they continue to work as hard as they have.

That was a great play by Lockett and I'm not a CB expert, but I expect Lockett to encounter much better defense in the regular season than that. That was a pathetic press attempt.

Could argue the same about Clark and the OL he faced

Both players are special. Both will have great years and great careers.. and this is why the big contracts + restocking in the draft tactic JS is about to deploy has a really good chance of working

Seriously difficult choice. I chose Lockett now and Clark career. Clark's got physical attributes that I don't see becoming less effective with changes in the league like WR / corner size or body type.

Yeah. Also you forgot "none of the above because will both be awesomely insane now and for their entire careers".

Man it's good to be a Seahawks fan right now. :0190l:

That was a mistake and trip by a pretty good corner (Keith McGill) who is battling for a starting job. Obviously, that play is going to be a setback for him. Just a great move by Lockett that he capitalized on with an incredible burst up the field.

Refuse to take this poll. They are both going to be great for us in their respective positions. It is not about one being "better" than the other.

Perhaps, you should have asked who would make the Ring of Honor?

On the Seahawks: Clark

On the Steelers, Patriots, Colts, Saints, etc: Lockett

Both are phenomenal, but with our depth at WR and Russell spreading the ball so much while passing so little, Lockett would probably be capped around 65 catches in a Hawks uni.
