I don't remember observing such a low apparent level of intelligence on our football team- staff included- in the last three years.
I don't really have any supporting argument here….I just find myself thinking over and over how dumb we are. The players, the staff, the personnel, the schemes, the play calling, the penalties, the decision making. A team with the experience we have shouldn't look this lackluster on offense, nor this undisciplined on defense.
We can, and will, improve. I'd be shocked if we aren't the team to beat come January. We'll be the best team in football by that time, I'm sure…and it will be because the above statement about intelligence will be addressed.
