The Hawks are now 0-2 to start the season. Brock & Salk saw some troubling things in this loss and Brock is calling out the upper class for culpability. John Clayton explains how this loss impacts the Hawks' outlook on the division and the conference in his Morning Drive, and Brock gives you one Seahawk who may be losing more playing time due to his performance on the field.

Why are the Seahawks 0-2? Is it the Defense's inability to keep 4th Quarter leads? Is it the offensive line's struggles? Is it their inability to maximize Jimmy Graham? Brock & Salk get to the bottom of the Hawks struggles with the help of some great perspective from callers. Don't miss Brock giving you the 3 biggest missed plays on offense that could've been the difference.

The future is now, 710. Callers are the worst thing about sports radio (any talk radio really). Hosts should pass on interesting texts and tweets from listeners, but not waste air time with callers.

Even in the rare case that a caller has something useful to add, they can't get the message across as well as an experienced radio host. They're nervous, inarticulate, crazy, or just a bit dialed back.

That said, I've noticed both the main Seattle sports talk stations have mercifully cut back on taking calls over the last few years, so I assume I'm not the only one who finds callers cringe-worthy.

For an inside look at the life of a sports-radio caller, see Patton Oswald's movie "Big Fan." Disturbing stuff...

I completely agree with Brock that the Seahawks are losing these games largely because their top 20%ers are not stepping up when the game is on the line. I know it was Dion Bailey who made the biggest gaffe against the Rams, but ultimately the top players of the Seahawks did not step up.

This is Carroll's biggest challenge. It is easy to play the disrespect card with all these late rounders but now that they are getting the love (and Paid), staying focused is the next challenge and Pete has failed at this in the past.
