Doesn't specify if Farmer was signed to the roster, but I'm assuming he took Pinkins spot on the PS

Not a big fan of this move

Thought the team was excited about Pinkins' prospects?

They probably were. But the PS isn't a farm system or a development program by design (There are plenty of exceptions). It's more about preparing for your opponent. Expect a lot of release and re-signings on the PS. They've been pretty consistent about it.

Got that, and understand there is a good bit of very typical PS churn and sometimes the moves are made to motivate players or to keep the taxi squad bigger.

Pinkins was one of the feel good stories of a positional change from camp, disappointing to see him cut, he looked to be a solid backup and ST addition albeit a depth player.

Unfortunately it's easier to lose him and he's a very high SPARQ player if he's a FA than it is if on the PS.

I like Farmer however and think he could be a solid developmental CB.

The Seahawks have for years rotated players off and on and off and on with the PS. Doesn't mean they've parted ways with anyone when they give his PS spot to someone else.

Pinkins never proved he was worth the draft pick they used on him. Obviously this shows that. It will be interesting to see where he ends up and how he plays with some new "eyes" on him

Shadow roster...nothing more. They are rotating a group of guys there like always. Until they get signed to the 53 man roster, this is no news.
