I gave my tickets to my kids for their anniversary, so I stayed home to watch. Is it just me or did the crowd seem really subdued? Man, the broadcast made it seem so quiet at the stadium.

If you were there, please give me some insight.

Fans seemed pretty subdued based on past games. I was looking at my remote and tv and thinking it was worse than it was

Wasn't too bad today.
Early season games in the sun at room temperature tend to create lazy crowds.
The opponent had more to do with it.
Decent crowd for a glorified pre season game.

I'm hoping someone at the game will chime in.

I was there. On a 10 scale we were a 6.5. Pretty loud but not butt-numbingly loud. I have multiple STDs.

It had its moments, but Chicago never really did enough to get worked up about and our offense was limited to just a couple of big plays. No real big hits, no turnovers, no monster gains other than the KR...it was about as loud as usual, just not as often.

CBS broadcasts also never sound as loud to me as NBC or FOX.

I think CBS muffles the crowd noise on their feed. I notice it every time.

Was there. Always am. 3rd downs on D were as expected (loud) otherwise nothing special today. Meh to average day for the 12s on other downs.

I posted this question on the gameday forum.
The crowd looked bored. Shots of the fans showed people on their cell phones.
Others were just sitting on their hands showing no interest.

I questioned whether winning was making us complacent.
Even though, there was not a lot of big plays, in the past it didn't matter
the crowd was always in the game.

I was there. It was way more subdued than usual. Pretty much the entitity of section 335 sat when we were on D. A number of rows in front of me in 334 were sitting as well. I think it was because the game was so boring at first and the offense was so bad. Just put people to sleep

Pittsburgh and Cleveland are both CBS telecasts.

This kind of stuff annoys me to no end.... I only go to 1 or 2 games a year and that was even in the tough years, but it's always been loud and a majority of fans on their feet. Winning certainly brings out the casual fan that just won't cheer that much. I was told last year to sit down by people about 5 rows behind me (sitting in the 300 section). In my opinion if you don't want to stand and cheer, then stay home. Tickets are too expensive to sit down and watch on the jumbo tron. If you want that, then just watch in a recliner with a big screen tv.

Sitting at home is a better seat than what you will get in the 300 section. So why pay to go to the stadium? You pay for the atmosphere, that's why. So if I'm going to pay I'm going to stand and yell the entire time. And the person that tells me to sit... Well, they can do you know what.

The subdued crowds started last year. I have been to all but 3 games the last 3 years and I thought to open the game we were pretty loud after a few stalled offensive drives the crowd started getting restless. The drop by Lockette was the first time I heard the boo's then the stalled drives later got even more boo's.

It seemed to me that the crowd arrived earlier than usual. The food lines were longer than usual. The crowd noise was about normal when we are winning.
