You sure it's illegal? I see guys do it all the time in the endzone. I think it's only illegal for the offense to bat it forward.

I don't know why he doesn't just grab it and run out the back of the end zone, or pretend to try and grab it and 'fumble' it out of bounds.

Batting a ball out of the back of the endzone by the defense is not a foul. As far as I'm aware. I'd be interested to see the rule, not hear people opine on TV that it is.

I thought it was going to be a penalty when it happened, glad they missed it even though it sucks the refs don't know the rules.

Even though with 1:30 left and 3 timeouts we get the ball back if they scored, this wont be talked about.

People will act like this was the final play of the game. Another season hearing every other fan cry about our "luck".
