Likely to be out several weeks. Who do we bring in? Pierre Thomas? Ray Rice? Montee Ball? Ahmad Bradshaw? Knowshon Moreno?

I'd go get Ray Rice and deal with the bad publicity. I think he has paid his dues. But Montee Ball wouldn't be bad, he and Russ played together at Wisconsin.

If we are looking for a third down back who can catch the ball I think Thomas is probably the best available. I think high priority will be how well can they pass block and catch the ball out of the backfield. But with Rawls looking "okay" yesterday, we may look for a guy who can also run the ball between the tackles.

I've always liked Pierre Thomas but any one of those guys would be good, assuming they're in decent football shape. Although we'll probably go with a practice squad guy or something like that.

Here's the other question. If we do sign another RB (which is likely the case here), do we release Fred Jackson? From the sounds of it, he will be out several weeks. Typically high ankle sprains are 3-6 weeks. Can we afford to keep 4 RB's plus the two full backs?

6. The Seahawks will be in the market for running back depth. With Marshawn Lynch already nursing a hamstring strain, passing-down specialist Fred Jackson went down with an ankle injury.

Although NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported X-rays were negative, Jackson will still have to undergo an MRI to determine the severity of the sprain.

Keep all the RB's for now.....can cut Bj Daniels for roster spot. Tukuafa is technically a FB but played DL and TE as well last night.... And Coleman is valuable on ST....I think Ray Rice would be excellent insurance for Beast moving forward. No telling how his injuries play out and Rawls isn't a #1 RB.

He was hit 1 or more yards behind the LOS in 6 of his 8 carries to start the game. Hard to get going when you're being smothered right away. Not sure many backs could make anything out of this situation.

Rawls played like a #1 RB the way he took on players in the backfield, still picked up yards, and did not fumble!

Anyone who doesn't acknowledge that our O line is the root cause of many of our offensive issues just won't get it. People trying to blame Cable wholly for the O line don't get it. JS chose his poison - cheap out on O line and pray for RW to execute with play calling from Bevell.

Every portion of the offensive chain could improve from Bevell to Wilson but people have unrealistic expectations with the fundamental of protecting for 5 step drops not being present most times.

This. Rawls did the best he could given the craptastic situation of our OL.

"okay"???? The O-Line looked like warmed over shit for nearly every single play of the game, Russell Wilson, who was being pummeled on a regular basis yesterday, didn't even look "okay", and had to run for his life.
Even a somewhat healthy Marshawn Lynch wouldn't have looked much better than "okay" with how awful the O-Line played.
There's a big problem with the Offense, and I don't think bringing in another RB is going to fix that.

Yep, earlier this Season, even Lynch sometimes looked inept when the O-Line was caving in.
Some could argue that Marshawn's injuries could have stemmed from the crappy O-Line play, eh?
They're not giving Russell Wilson enough protection, they're not getting any push for the RB's, whoever they might be.
6 of 8 ?, :34853_doh: = pathetic.

I'm well aware the Oline was horrible. And most of the running plays he had no chance on.

Rawls was solid last night. He wasn't bad, but he wasn't great either. So I don't see a problem with saying his performance was okay.
