You can only pick one per decade, and just for fun throw in a prediction for the next decade.

1970s: I'm not that old
1980s: Steve Largent
1990s: Brian Blades (just barely over Rufus porter)
2000s: Matt hasselbeck
2010s: Russell Wilson
2020s; Royce Freeman (marshawn lynch's replacement)

70s: Sherman Smith
80s: Largent
90s: Galloway
2000s: Hasselbeck
2010s: Really tough to choose between Lynch and Wilson for me. I would probably go with Wilson since I can only pick one. But it's like 1A and 1A-

70's Jim Zorn
80's Kenny Easly/Steve Largent. The only way you could ask me to choose would be to pick the defensive guy.
90's Cortez Kennedy, followed closely by Rufus Porter
00's Matt Hasselbeck. Gritty and loved the personality.
10's I would've gone Chancellor until the beginning of this season. Now it's Lynch.

Was born in WA in '78, moved around a lot as a kid (midwest mostly). Moved back in 91. Saw my first game in maybe 93-94.

90's Cortez and then Shawn Springs later on.
00's Hasselbeck
10's Red Bryant and Chris Clemons

00s: Walter Jones

1970s: Efren Herrera
1980s: Steve Largent
1990s: Tez
2000s: Tatupu or Bobby Engram
2010s: Lynch

Odd 70s pick. But Herrera's fake field goals really cemented Seahawk fandom for me, at a time where I was a budding Steelers fan in the absence of a local team. Hawks were just a crazy outfit back then and Herrera was seemingly at the forefront of that.

Thanks for letting me copy off you. :D

Since there's offense and defense I'm going to cheat. J opened the door with Roof!

1970s: I'm younger than J
1980s: 1. Steve Largent 2. Fredd Young (Traded to Indianapolis for 2 each 1st round picks
1990s: 1. Rufus porter 2. Brian Blades (Loved it when he yelled at his brother [Lions] for making a hard tackle. The commentator added in a voice IIRC..."Yo, what did mom say about that kind of stuff?")
2000s: 1. Matt hasselbeck 2. Rocky Bernard. I don't know why I liked him so much, just did. Wasn't he "Sugar Bear"?
2010s: 2. Russell Wilson/Marshawn Lynch 2. Kam Chancellor
2020s; 1. Tomas Rawls 2. Cassius Marsh

Easley, Jones and OG LOB all were coin flips in their respective decades.

ooh nice thread - only one?

1970's: Jim Zorn

1980's: Kenny Easley. Largent is a REALLY close second, and he definitely belongs on this list somewhere. But growing up Easley is the player I waned to be: roaming safety ready to tackle and intercept

1990's: John L Williams :D Kinda cheatin' here, since he's really an 80's guy. But I identified with him on offense - multi-talented fullback that ran, caught, and blocked. And I didn't really identify with many of the 90's players

2000's: Mack Strong: didn't identify with many in the 2000's really, kind of fell out of touch, however love his story about really grinding out his career, especially the resurgence the second go around and fantastic lead blocker

2010's: Earl Thomas. He inspires me because he's his own unique character, in his own mindspace, and not afraid to show it. Not to mention the way he plays, especially for a guy his size, he's all heart. The only guy who probably would ever be able to make eye contact with Marshawn and Marshawn looks away first

Favorite all time though is probably Largent. Crafty, very skilled at his trade, not the most athletic and yet always found himself open relying on his skill and craft. One of my favorite quotes "If they are looking at my eyes, then I know they're not looking at my feet"

Plus his longevity

Plus his consistency
