Summary of Coach Carroll's Monday Press Conference:
With the team having a few days off, they wanted to make sure they conditioned well in today's practice. They had a good practice today, made good use of cleaning up stuff from last week and began their preparation for Dallas. Wednesday's practice is really important to kick things into high gear.

It's possible that Paul Richardson could play this week after coming of the PUP List. Richardson has fully returned to practice and looks lightning fast. The players have been raving about him in the training workouts, and he has been at top speed for some time now. They won't hold out hope for his return this week, just have to see how he takes to it and where he is at by game time. They were starting to do some advanced stuff with Richardson's late in his rookie season nefore his injury. We don't know where he is at yet, but we are hopeful that he will be a big factor for us.

Jeremy Lane has a chance to get back to practice after next week's bye. It's important to exercise caution with him. Marcus Burley should be back this week and play against Dallas. Burley practiced last week one day with a cast on his injury, has adjusted well after the surgery, and has looked good. Thomas Rawls has a calf bruise and should return to practice on Wednesday or Thursday. He has a chance to play, but they will see how he progresses throughout the week. Derrick Coleman cleared the concussion protocol and is back in practice. They expect Patrick Lewis to return this week from his ankle injury. For right now, the team will keep three centers (Nowak, Jeanpierre, and Lewis). The purpose of bringing Jeanpierre back was that they did not know the extent of the injury suffered by Lewis. In addition, Demarcus Dobbs, Nick Moody, and Jordan Hill are all expected to be back on Wednesday.

K.J. Wright is having his best season. His drops have become very sophisticated in the pass game, really has a nose for the ball. Carroll thought Garry Gilliam did a nice job last week bouncing back from injury. With the exception of the turnovers, he thought the offense did a nice job. We needed a couple more conversions on 3rd downs. Russell moved around well and did fine. Carroll was really disappointed by Russell's decision to throw into double coverage. Because Richard Sherman is experienced now and has such great awareness, we are taking more chances with him in moving him around, i.e. following the #1 WR and playing in the nickel. He has a willingness to take on these difficult challenges. It's always cool to run the football like we did last week. Everyone knew where we were going, but we just kept at it. It was good football. Will Tukuafu has been great, he has a great attitude about playing both ways from one series to the next, and is a fantastic competitor.

The team will game plan as if Dez Bryant will play for Dallas. We always assume a guy will play if he has a chance to play.

Summary of Coach Carroll's Wednesday Press Conference:
This has been a good break for our guys. We are going to come back tomorrow for a good practice. Dallas is a great place to play and a very hungry team. They can run it like crazy, they pass pro well, and they are a very balanced football team. They are running the same offense as they did with Tony Romo. It's a really good offensive line. Matt Cassel has done well in every place he has been. A couple throws got away from him in the last game, but he also made some big plays. He played for Carroll at USC, but never started in college as the backup to Matt Leinart. New England really liked him as a backup. Carroll is not surprised by what he has accomplished in the NFL. Dallas put their money into the offensive line and made a big commitment to it by using three First Round draft choices on linemen. TE Jason Witten has been an all-around terrific football player for a long time.

Thomas Rawls has a nasty injury, and trainers don't know whether it is a bruise or a strain. He could play this week, but they signed Bryce Brown as insurance. Carroll has known Brown a long time because he recruited him at SC. John Schendier and Carroll looked at the film and saw a strong RB who can really run the ball. They will find out more about him in practice over the next couple days.

Paul Richardson is day to day. He has looked fast. He is very competitive minded and has a great catching range. he showed some precision routes late in the year before he got hurt. Carroll thinks he will be able to put together a solid week and it is just a feel about whether he will play.

Jordan Hill, Demarcus Dobbs, and Nick Moody are all expected to practice tomorrow and to play on Sunday. It is going to be a really full roster. Patrick Lewis should also been full-go tomorrow in practice.

Michael Bennett is playing terrific, has been very consistent with his productivity, and has been causing problems in both pass and the run. Cliff Avril has also been playing really well. Things have been going OK in terms of keeping them fresh and using their rotation. Carroll does not see the rotation changing because both Bennett and Avril are healthy and playing well.

Carroll is excited about the way we are running the ball. They showed consistency in terms of coming off the ball strong. We have been running the ball really consistency. Drew Nowak is the #1 at center, but Lewis will be back tomorrow in practice to compete with him. We hope to have everything flow from the running game. We are starting to feel the line of scrimmage the way we want to. Marshawn is a tailback and a downhill guy, so if you asked him, he would probably prefer that we run under center. But what he wants the most is space. We are coming downhill better at people in the last three of four games.
