I don't want to be a downer, but if the offense gives our d a fourth quarter lead in 5 of our losses, they need to close that out. Especially if they are claiming to be elite, as they should be with their talent. Offensive struggles aside, our defense needs to start stepping up. We score over 30 at home, we need to win, period.

Our Defense did everything they could.. But if they breathed even just a little a flag was thrown.. Tonight our d stepped up and played. The refs just ensured they couldnt do anything and discouraged rhem with ticky tacky bullshit. While allowing az to get away with holding and delay of games repeatedly

[vimeo][/vimeo]The penalties on 3rd down that gave Arizona automatic first downs contributed most to this loss.

The offense gave them the lead? Can you check it one more time?
Didn't the Defense score more points than this sorry offense?

Cannot blame the defensive players. Blame the caller and coach. We were killing the cardinals with pressure but then totally abandoned the blitz when we got the lead.

Our elite D allowed 39 points tonight...

And was on the field for 39 out of 60 minutes, or two-thirds of the game.

They scored two TD's.

This offense can't sustain drives. You can't expect the defense to do it all.

Look at the time of possession dude

Eventually defenses are going to bend and break. They were on the field way too much. Wilson, bevel and the o-line combined is ruining the season for us. We need to go 10-6 at least to get a wild card

Cary Williams does kinda suck tho

It doesn't help that the only thing that was working was exploited, and that the cover 3 protections were soft and giving up good yards.

The offense put up 340 yards in 21 minutes of possession so it is not like they were anemic. They were killed by penalties (which might have been legit) and 2 very bad turnovers on Wilson. The Defense gave up 30 1st downs which should tell a lot of the story. The Defense was awesome against Clausen, Kaepernick and Cassell and won against Stafford after allowing him to drive for the potential winning score. They have been terrible against Foles, Newton, Rodgers, Palmer and Dalton. We have led in every game in the 4th quarter this year and they have failed more often than not. The defense is close to the same as last year but the Defensive coordinator is not. He is the one failing. We (including me) love to call out Bevell, let's call out Richard! We should have never let Ken Norton leave!

The offense stunk up the joint all of the first half and time of possession was almost 40 to 20. The offense must do its part to help the defense. The defense can only do so much. Russell is not playing clutch football to many fumbles all year.

Both sides of the ball pretty much sucked in the first half. We had no offense and no defense until the red zone. The offense couldn't stay on the field and the defense couldn't get off the field...starting with AZ's first drive, so it wasn't really because the O couldn't get moving.

Legion of Boom played like the legion of bust last night. Yes, ET had an INT but they allowed 2 WRs to have over 100 yards receiving against them. That is unlike the LOB. They looked like the worst secondary in the NFL. Hell they maybe worse than some college secondaries. It's not all Williams. One player can't be the problem. It's been a collective issue all season. Sherman was the worst player in secondary last night, bar none.

They were on the field for 25 of 30 minutes in the first half.

They're no longer elite, but what would you call the offense that has the most physical RB in the league, after only possessing the ball for 5 minutes in the first half?

Trash.

The answer you're looking for, is trash.

They put up those yards against a team playing soft defense protecting a 19 point lead.

That offense was less than anemic. Those total yards numbers are misleading as hell.
