My oh my does that tell the story. I am hoarse and tired. It was an exhausting and frustrating game for the fans and the team. How can we have so much talent and so little to show for it. Salk (not my favorite sports talking head) asked a while back if there weren't comparisons to be drawn between the M's season and the Hawks. At the time I called him a monkey and wished he wasn't on the radio, but after nine games it's hard to deny. Russell is our Cano. He's not having a good year. He may have some decent stats, but he missed several passes, was lucky not to have a couple more picked off and he made some hard to explain choices. And not always when under pressure. The pass to Baldwin that was picked off left us shaking our heads. There were 3 open receivers on that play and as open as ADB was the others were even more so. Like I said hard to explain.

I'm not bashing Russell. I'm glad we signed him. The season isn't over and I'll put money on him getting better this year and the years to come. But something isn't right at this time.

It feels like our hard press at the line defensively is long gone. Now it just looks like the old soft and cushy Kelly Jennings stuff. When the cards jumped false start on third and one i was almost not happy...i trusted our short yardage run defense so much more than our third down and anything over five passing D

stupid penalites on offense.

Added some 2nd down stats.

Penalties were such a killer.
