If Pittsburgh is any indication, the Seahawks could be fine

I already compared us to the Steelers at the start of the year and was shelled for it.

But that is exactly the same path, minus the rapey stuff.

Both teams share the young QB (Looking at 2011 Steelers as the example), and the need to transition from a great defensive team that wins with the defense/run game - to a team with a good defense but more pass oriented.

The things is, Steelers QB has more physical tools but otherwise very similar circumstance.

We even both share the all everything safety.

The question to ask is what is "fine"? Because the Steelers have been competitive during the time since missing that playoffs, but they have not sniffed a SB since or even been much of a serious threat for a SB.

They have put together some good wins, still been a dangerous team, won some tough games and the like. But it isn't like anyone expects to see them in the SB in the near future.

Now is that our future? Who knows. But the teams seem to have similar paths they shared, similar strengths and similar changes that had to be made.

Great article. Mirrors my thought that we should stay the course and not panic. However, we should also call out players who are underperforming.
