We may have hit the lottery with Rawls

It's early yet in his career but they may have just found a replacement for Lynch and that's awesome. It's awesome for so many reasons but mostly because it saves draft capital a free agency for other things we very much need.

C'mon not surprising considering both Turbin and Michael are free agents right now with the Seahawks spending a 4th round and 2nd round draft selection on each respectively.

And your point is? Just curious, serious question

I hope so...

For the year Rawls has about 600 yards now. In 3 of the 4 games he has 10 or more carries he has 104 yards, 169 yards and 209 yards

Offense has looked pretty good with him in and with about the same ammount of carries he has done better than Lynch

If he does become the next Lynch the magnitude of this can't be overstated . Wilson has to have a running game to excel anyone who disputes this is delusional.

At the very least, the play of Rawls this season figures to save us from spending a high draft pick or using other resources to find another back.

We'll see. We need a power back to compliment Rawls if Lynch moves on, and Freeman out of Oregon would fit our needs really really well.

Rawls is awesome but was anyone else cringing watching him get up slow like 4 times today? All that collision in a small body, and the guys he gets compared to were good but oft-injured backs. Gonna be some interesting decisions at RB this offseason.

That sideline run where he tried to run through the defender instead of going out of bounds

Mini beast-mode indeed. WOW!

Judging Rawls on a single games performance isn't a true way to evaluate a player abilities, you have too look at it in the scope of a years performances. If you want to truely evaluate him. Today was outstanding though.

He's only a SO. The class in two years is going to be pretty talented at RB.

Agreed, that was a treat to watch.

I remember Adrian Peterson's first year in the league: one that that struck me about him was how often he would engage defenders and initiate contact instead of going out of bounds. Rawls reminds me of that. I'm not saying he's AP, just noting a casual similarity in their masochistic desire to get hit.

He meant Spencer Ware. I assume it was brought up as more evidence of Schneider/Carroll's ability to spot RB talent.

Rawls looks special but lets see what he does the rest of the way (have a feeling Lynch might be out awhile).

Agree completely kearly. I'd like to keep Rawls to about 17-20 carries a game with a bruiser to compliment him.

Smart guy. Get up slow everytime, like Lynch does, and the defense doesn't know when you actually are hurt.
