The new writer appears to not have gotten the memo on the benching of Cary Williams. I hope they target Cary deep early in the game, where he is sitting will be out of bounds.

I think he's trying so hard to *sound* clever and knowledgeable that it distracts from actually gathering the knowledge.
I'm trying to give him a chance, but sometimes it's better for writers to use some of the usual familiar cliches instead of trying to be "original" with every turn of phrase. That article was just awkward and stilted to read, compared to the many other excellent FieldGulls articles I've read.
