Seahawks moved into a tie at #5 with Cincinnati in Elo's measure of team strength. They consider our upcoming 10 AM game at Minnesota, which is playing its games at open air TCF Bank Stadium while its fixed roof stadium is being completed, a 50-50 toss up. The first wave of snow dropped in Minneapolis this morning.
The Seahawks maintain an outside shot to win the NFC West. To keep our division title hopes alive, we need the Rams to get it together and pull off another upset this week against Arizona, which currently has a 93% chance to win the division.
If Arizona prevails on Sunday, they would only need one more win or one Seahawks loss to clinch the division. If Arizona loses to St. Louis, the Seahawks division title odds improve significantly. We would then just need Arizona to lose one more game (vs. Minnesota, at Philadelphia, or against Green Bay) before taking care of business in the season finale. An 11-5 Seahawks squad would then own the tie breaker against an 11-5 Arizona due to having a superior division record.
