He is basically the best QB when not pressured and the best QB by a mile when pressured. This is also why we need to fix our offensive line and why there maybe hasn't been as much urgency as there should have been in fixing the offensive line - because Russell and Marshawn are by far the best two players in the league when playing behind garbage offensive lines.

Hopefully, we retool this year and give Russell and Rawls some help moving forward.

This is good stuff. Maybe one or two decent players for the o-line, would be appropriate additions. :)

Note Kaep is up there too so that tells me he and Russ' ability to get out of trouble with their legs is huge when it comes to pressure. Hey Pete, Russ won't always be able to do that. PLEASE get him some pass pro.

Wow, we all knew Russell was pretty good under pressure, but I didn't realize how much better he is than everybody else under pressure.

It's hard to understand that graph given that QBR has hated Wilson for most of his career, that graph makes it look like Wilson is the best QBR QB of the past several years.

mm IDK...His career QBR if you add it up and divide by 4 its at 69.6.... This year his QBR was 74.9 while mr mvp was at 66.1

Wilson for total QBR ranks the following in the league per year

2012- 5th
2013- 11th
2014- 8th
2015- 4th

Just from a quick look the names that appear pretty high on that QBR list like Wilson for the last 4 years are Brady, Big Ben, Rodgers, and Brees.

Usually only one QB cracks over an 80 QBR for a season with the second being around 75-77.

Also Wilson is probably so high for under pressure because he is under pressure 40% or more of the time

Also just from searching things about QBR and Wilson it seems like almost every year he goes on a massive tear at the end of the season or the second half of the season.

In 2012 I found this- Russell Wilson @Seahawks Total QBR through Week 5- 33.9 (29th in NFL), since then- 85.1 (best in NFL)

In 2013 from december I found this- Russell Wilson has a Total QBR of 97.0 the last 3 weeks, 17 points higher than anyone else in the NFL.

Seems like in both 2012 and 2015 Wilson was hot garbage and then basically was the best QB in the last 8 games with nobody coming close

Didnt find anything from this year but obviously he was clutch as hell 2nd half of the season. He had 7 games over a 90 QBR with the Rams game being 48.7.

This just goes to show you how good our offense could be with an average OL. It doesn't have to be elite, just average.

Rawls has proven he can run behind this line, and he should only get better. Imagine the improvement we could see when he gets most of the 1st team reps in TC and the same amount in OTA's (Rawls got a ton of OTA reps because Michael was hurt and Lynch just doesn't do OTA's).

Add a healthy Rawls for the year, and league average protection for Wilson and we could really have something.

It's an interesting chart, but it's not as cut and dry as "If Wilson had a better OLINE he would be better than Brady". As you saw first hand this season, once Russ started getting the ball out on time after about game 12, he started to create his own time. Defenses got tired, and couldn't pin their ears back quite as much as his 4-5 second drop backs.

Brady is the master at getting the ball out quickly, and the offense is build around that sort of being their running game. A qb pressure isn't going to show up as a stat if he gets the ball out after a quick 3 step drop.

Kind of curious why it goes back to 2009. Have a link to the source, OP?
