Weren't we pretty quiet last year as far as free agency went on the first day? Obviously we did the Graham trade, but can't remember any big signings on day one.

We almost always sit out the first few days of stupid deals. And a few here always freak out about it.

It seems like day one is primarily weak teams over paying big name guys. Just look at all the teams who have been quiet: Seattle, NE, GB, Arizona, Carolina, Pitt, etc. And look at all the teams making moves: Jaguars, Giants, Jets, Dolphins, Raiders, etc. Do you see a pattern?

All you have to do is look at the teams making the big moves. The Texans, for example, have spent $126 million this afternoon trying to shore up their offense. That may be the right move for their franchise but would anybody rather be a Texans fan right now?

No. Is a pattern like a rumor ? Do we have to validate it ?

I'm going to be really pissed off and take it super seriously when they start handing out "free agency grades" in a couple hours and we get a D or an F.

Meh, these crappy teams dropping cash for a player or two is exactly how you don't build a championship caliber team (see Green Bay, NE, Seattle, Carolina, etc.)
