That 3rd is very nice. Thanks Maxwell!

Does the allowance of trading comp picks begin this year or next?

Nice to hear about the comp picks. Even though we can't trade them yet, it leaves us room to make other deals if we have the need. Should be a fun draft this year

I forgot we already traded away our 5th and 6th rounders this year. I'm glad we got picks back in those rounds. I know JS probably planned for that all along, but that would have been a big gap to not have any picks.

I always forget, is this in line with expectations or is anything here a surprise?

This is the same as the OTC projection. 3rd for Maxwell, 5th for Carp and 6th for Malcolm Smith.

This is what was expected. Just nice to have official confirmation from the NFL.

I thought somebody was projecting we would get a 4th too?

We would have had 4, but the Rubin signing last year cancelled it out.

No, they were never getting a 4th. They would have had to lost a free agent at $6M+. Carp was just under $5M and netted a 5th. Rubin didn't actually cancel out anything because the is a 3 comp pick limitation.

That is not true. 4 is the max.

And BTW, I wasn't saying we would get a 4th round pick ($6m+ contract), I was saying we would have gotten a 4th comp pick, as Hsu tweeted, which likely was going to be a 6th rounder.
