However on Thursday, radio host Dan Patrick pried some information out of Lockett that he'd hoped to keep under wraps.

Patrick asked a simple question to start the interview, "Do you have a favorite basketball team?" The question seemed to catch Lockett off guard and he hesitated to respond because he knew the truth. Meanwhile, Patrick seemed to know what he was angling for when he asked the question. Finally, a response came.

"Uh, the Oklahoma City Thunder," Lockett sheepishly answered.

Lockett was keenly aware of that fact, which is why he was so hesitant to respond. At the end of the day, Seahawks fans will hardly stop rooting for one of their own because of his NBA preference. Still, it's always interesting when you learn something new about one of your more talented players -- good or bad.

He's from Kansas, right? Makes sense he root for the closest team. :229031_shrug:

But poster above is right, it's kind of cool that he realized this might not be the best thing to admit to here in Seattle.

The electrifying wide receiver hails from Tulsa, Oklahoma, which is actually quite far from Oklahoma City, but obviously with the Thunder being one of the state's two professional sports franchises that hardly makes a difference. It was more than clear that Lockett knows how Seattle feels about the Thunder.

Both He and Largent are from Tulsa, and both share the same birthdate.

Wow, that's random!

I guess we all have different definitions of "quite far". ;)

Tulsa to OKC is about the same distance as Seattle to Bellingham. Can't blame him.

Yes. In Alaska, that's a "quick jaunt on a bicycle" :p

Oh, and what King Dog said.

Strange - I always thought Largent was older.... :)
