It seems he's willing to play for vet minimum, which is good for his caliber of player. I'd still want the position addressed in the draft to see if we can't land a true difference-maker, but Haden provides some insurance in the meantime.

Between Siliga and Rubin, we have guys that can play NT (even though Rubin has lined up at 3 for us). This is kind of an odd one, really. What we really need is a real 3 tech that can shoot that B gap really well and still play the run.

Is this a smoke screen to offset draft guessers about Butler or Billings?

Seems to me me to be a good add if it's at a vet min min deal.

If signing him would allow us to pick OL with our first couple of picks then yes.
