I'm not as familiar with the pace of the draft now that it has moved to Thursday nights. Anybody have a thought on what time the Seahawks will likely be on the clock?

Is it still? Seemed like they took some steps to shorten the rounds since they moved to Thursday night. First round used to take 9 hours. They try that when not starting until 8 pm and the first round wouldn't end until 5 in the morning.

I'm guessing they target about 3 hours for the first round now.

Should have put this question in the draft forum for those in the know. Or maybe we could become unlazy and google it.

Do you mean when will they announce they have traded down to the 2nd round?

Even at 10 minutes a pick, the first round would last over 5 hours. That isn't happening. There are timeframe based on what the rules are and then there are timeframes based on experience.

Pretty stupid to start it at 8 Eastern time.

As a Western person (mountain time zone) I'm okay with it. If I still lived out east, it would suck.

Yes. Anxious to know what compensation they get in the trade. :thirishdrinkers:

8-11 is prime time, so makes sense.

Since this is such a deep draft, I have no doubt we're trading out of the first round to get more middle round picks. It's a bummer cause the first round draft picks are exciting, but I trust in Pete and John.

Considering that the NCAA bracket leaked, the NFL schedule leaked and everything leaks I fully expect that the first round draft picks are leaked 15 minutes prior to the draft tonight..........
