JUSTIN AND GEE

May 12, 2016 - Hour 1

Is Safeco Field now a home field advantage rather than a disadvantage? Justin and Gee examine that in Thursday's Question of the Day.

Seahawks Wide Receiver Doug Baldwin stops by the show on the day his teammate Ricardo Lockette is set to announce his retirement.

Baldwin reflects on the brotherhood shared amongst the Wide Receivers and what they'll miss the most about Ricardo Lockette.

Thanks for your podcast posting perseverance. :th2thumbs: I particularly enjoyed the Urban Meyer podcast.

Seattle area residents are so event rich. If I still lived there, I'd be there for the next town hall event featuring Angela Duckworth with Pete Carroll

Why thank you J. :) The 3 Ps reminds me of something my flight instructor said to me, oh so many years ago when I would screw up: "Pre-flight Plannng Precludes Piss Poor Performance."

I love how Pete always addresses every aspect of the game, both mental and physical. Everyone talks about Chip Kelly, but Pete's been doing that stuff for years. And it's the same with Urban Meyer. He gets kids any kind of psychological help they need, and go out of his way to help players with injury concerns.

In fact, how Pete has handled his players all around compared to how Chip Kelly or Urban Meyer's success directly relates to innovative, and continually improving approach would be a great topic.

Pete Carroll, out of concern for his players, will pull anyone from the game that he feels may have an injury, with risk for it to get worse. He is so confident in his approach, that he feels it is better to keep a top, slightly injured player out of the game. That is part of the long-term or "win forever approach. Instead of using up your players and burning them out so that a team has to rebuild (hello Harbaugh's 49ers), Pete takes care of his players.
