Had he stuck with football he absolutely could have made it to the NFL. But at this point he has 14ish years of professional basketball under his belt.

I remember he tried out for the Hawks (or at least visited and joked about it) in one of Carroll's first years too.

Let's be honest who DON'T the Hawks try out? Did he have a chance? IMO, no way, but why not at least overturn the rock?

I tried out this past Saturday over the internet. They said that my hair was too long and that Trovon Reed already had my number (37). #theirloss #haterz #stillbeautiful

He might not be nickel CB..., but he might not be a bad backup for free safety...look at E.T.

Too breakable? Not fast enough? Instincts?

Do we know anything of the shortcomings?

Guy was a stud. Unfortunately, he's old now.

NBA years are a lot different than football years. He probably feels pretty good relative to a lot of dudes in the NFL; and if he doesn't look out of place amongst NBA guards the required athleticism is still there.

I get it. Still don't think it happens.

That's the thing though. He's been on 4 different NBA teams since 2015 and is currently signed to a team in the Israeli Basketball Premier League.

14 years is a lot of years. His knees have been through a ringer.

So he's 32 as of May 31st.

That makes him, what... 45 in NFL years?

I want them to try out Dennis Rodman--6'7", extremely strong, gets in your head.

He is a little old, and to far removed since he last played football for this to be a realistic opportunity for him. If he were still in his 20s yes, but early 30s is just to late. Especially at corner. I also doubt playing in the NBA has done wonders for his knees and ankles/feet with all those years running up and down those hard wooden courts.
