Overdue for induction. His career wasn't as long as many, but neither was the career of Gale Sayers. To me Easley was the Sayers of defensive football in terms of really high level of play but for a shorter period of time.

I always figured he'd be denied due to his shortened career, but it's good to see he's getting some recognition for being one of the best of his day.

Just saw this as well!

Ohhh Yea! Is all I can say. The first jersey I owned as a kid, wore 45 whenever I played.

This is awesome news and most deserved, I hope he gets some love.

It would be really cool to see him get in. Feels good to see him talked about in such high regard on a national level.

This really made my day. Long overdue. I am just glad that the powers that be pulled their heads out.

I wonder how much of this is a result of the Seahawks' recent performance and bringing a bit more attention in general to Seahawks players past and present. Deserved, but I wonder if he had played for the Browns or Bucs if he would be getting this deserved second look.

One of my all-time favorite Seahawk players.

Fierce dude. Batman descending on John Elway.
I bet this makes John Harris, his fellow safety happy as well.
Hope it happens.

Wow, I didn't think he'd ever even be a finalist. Cool to see him getting some much-deserved attention.

Hopefully, the wisdom of the Seniors will come through, so when Kenny Easley leaves the hospital, he can be there for the ceremony :2thumbs: ...Long overdue in my humble opinion.

Ronnie Lott has always said that the best Safety in NFL history is Kenny Easley.
