This upcoming preseason game is the most important preseason game because it serves as the season tune-up for the starters.

What makes this matchup extra interesting is that Seattle's opponent just happens to be Dallas, the team that is running away with the preseason lead in scoring (65 points scored over two games). Seattle has scored just 28 points, including 0 from the starters.

The Cowboys are hopeful that Ezekiel Elliot may very well make his NFL debut in this game. If he does, it will be a huge test for Seattle's run defense. Romo and Dez will naturally test our pass D as well.

Later in the game, our backup D will have to contend with Dak Prescott, who's been the best QB of the preseason so far. They'll also have to cover former Richard Sherman project hopeful Brice Butler, who's having a great preseason so far as a deep threat.

Hopefully Seattle's offense can get going this week. As far as preseason games go this one has a chance to be pretty entertaining.

I was thinking the same thing, that Dallas OL manhandled the Seattle DL back in 2014, hopefully they've learned a thing or two since then.

Spot on Kearly.

This game is worth watching, even for casual fans. Tons of story lines for this game, great match ups all over.

I really want to see how the starting offense bounces back from getting shut out this pre season. If they get shut out in the first half again, then it may cause for concern.

Sherm on Dez is always a fun battle. Can't wait for Thursday night!

I think it's going to be a great test for our front seven, facing the best offensive line in the league.

And it's another opportunity for an offensive tuneup. Hopefully, they can get something going and put some points on the board this preseason.

Give us that O-Line and we win back-to-back-to-back Super Bowls!

The offense should be able to put up some points on that *allas defense.

The 2014 game Bad Bevell showed up, and we stopped running the ball.

Their o-line is over-rated in pass protection. See Romo's broken clavicle as exhibit A.

Can't disagree.

I'm actually a lil nervous looking forward to this game.

I keep reminding myself, that "star" ain't a logo, it's a rating.

You would think, but we only managed 13 pts last season in Dallas.

Dallas matches up against us very well.

Maybe too well.

Week 3, what will matter to me is the 1s vs 1s. Don't care about the final score, but I absolutely care about the score starters vs starters.

Based on what I have seen this preseason, and how well Dallas matches up with us, I am not optimistic.

But hey, happy to have my mind changed and be proven wrong.

What I want to see is the following:

Defense, especially by the DL and especially against the pass.

TDs by the offense. Nobody cares that you can move up and down the field if you cannot put it in the end zone. We did that enough last year. Moving into the RZ and not scoring is failure by any score.

Obviously no injuries, but it would be nice to see they have done SOMETHING to address the big weaknesses that kept biting us last season and appear to be problems this season.

Elliott is the best RB who has never played a down in the history of the league.

and I thought Gurley had hype...

I think we have way too many guys that rely on fire to play well to make the preseason interesting.

Our OC tends to brainfart against Jerruh's kids.

I'm very curious about this game of yours as well.

Dak played first game against a Rams D doing nothing. Hype is off the charts, but that is what Jerry does best.

Hopefully it will be fun to watch because so far this pre season has the last drive of the Chiefs game worth watching and nothing else.
