Too much for a week 1 match-up, IMO. Week 1's have a tendency to be weird.

I think we win by 6.
Yeah, Wk 1 games are ususally more unpredictable. 10+ points seems way too confident. But I guess they think the betting public respects our home field advantage. Still early in the week, I imagine it might settle a bit by next Sat.

Honestly I think we lose this game by 3-7. Just a bad feeling for some reason.

I endorse this. This team seems to fall flat in week one almost every year.

I think Hawks cover. Vegas is begging you to bet the Phins with this spread and they're usually spot on. Still, it IS week one and Miami has a new coach so there is the unknown factor.

Not at home. When was the last time we lost a home opener?

You guys need to think positive.

2008 vs SF. To be fair I had to look it up as I was curious, I had thought it happened in '11. Still doesn't mean much to me though, it could still happen this year. That's the great thing about the NFL, any given Sunday still applies IMO.

Wow. For some reason that is insane to me, and I'm not sure why...
Yep, I was thinking 7. I wouldn't touch this game from a betting stand point.
Week one is an "anything can happen week" where everyone is confident as their weaknesses haven't been exposed yet, and they haven't had any "oh crap" moments yet.

.....and Seattle usually spots teams a half with passive play calling on both sides of the ball especially early in the season.

I'll be teasing Seattle down in a 10-pt teaser so they just have to win 8)

Surprising spread .... given the recent history of slow starts plus all the (15) rookies on the roster this year. I'd expect the team to need a few weeks to sort out the team and playbook for 2016.

10.5 seems about right to me, as 3 pts always goes to the home team. Don't know how we'll do in the first half, but I'm confident we'll take care of business in the second half at least.

That's the smart play. I wouldn't bet that line on a single game bet, too many points to give in a week one game.

Week 1 is the weirdest to handicap. I think the Hawks win but wouldn't feel comfortable betting on it.

I'll think we win but will be tough, Dolphins aren't bad - think we will beat them by a TD.

Go 'Hawks!

When it comes to point spreads, I think the question to be asked is how many points ts would you have to give before you took Miami? I'm not sure what the number is but in the 6-8 point range, I'm probably not still going Seahawks.

If I know anything, Pete has been itching since the final moment of last year's playoff loss to get back to the power-run offense that leaves us down by two touchdowns at halftime. He'll stubbornly stay there, again, until it looks like he's about to lose the game/season, then sigh and switch back to it.

I do expect a win for us, but by less than a touchdown.
