A lot of things broke the Seahawks' way

1) Miami receiver drops a wide open TD. This cannot be understated

2) Miami goes for it on 4th down instead of taking the points

3) Ryan/Hauschka were able to reel in the horrid snaps and get away clean kicks

4) Seattle didn't pay for missing an extra point that slimmed their lead to two

5) Lockett's catch was ruled an incompletion and not a fumble

6) Seattle inexplicably went to a prevent defense and gave up a TD (duh), but somehow clawed their way back by converting two fourth downs

7) RW's fumble could have easily resulted in 7 points. Instead, a shoestring tackle by the only Seahawk in the vicinity tripped up the runner.

8) Mario Williams went out with a concussion. Up to that point Sowell was being absolutely abused. His departure allowed the line to gel and that is when the momentum swung.

I'm feeling good with the win considering how much had to break Seattle's way to walk off with a W.

You're right, but you could also say the oline and Wilson sucked it up at the end and executed. It did help having that dude out, though.

We have lost a fumble recovery called incomplete like that quite a few times but pretty much everything else, yeah.

If I'm thinking of the right play, Lockett incomplete call was correct as he looked on replay like he never had possession. Think Gase challenges if refs blew the call.

Otherwise agree with all your points.
(Enough of the damned soft zone!!)

There were also things that broke Miami's way, including Wilson's ankle. Other items include two crucial drops by Tyler Lockett on 3rd down, Michael failing to finish his run on inches, multiple hold calls wiping away positive plays, a freak fumble in Seattle's own territory, a phantom personal foul on Kam Chancellor.

Seattle outplayed Miami, dominated total yardage (352-222), TOP, converted 1st downs, etc. With a gimpy QB. Don't tell me the Seahawks were lucky to win this game.

Yeah but we were also -2 in tunrovers both in our side of the field, we dropped several easy first down passes, lockett was on his way to a TD and was brought down my 3 fingers, wilson couldn't move for the entire 2nd half, michael is not nearly as good a rawls, the online is green and miami's strength is their front 7.

Despite this being a negative post... the number eight turning into 8) almost made it quite a comforting read.

A couple personal fouls could have been called on Miami early in the game that would have given Seattle some key first downs. Just sayin'...

Don't forget that Tannehill was tipped twice at the line and if our guys were paying attention that would of been two turnovers, the Shead coverage on Foster, if he had played for an interception would of been a pick 6. The O-line having so many holding calls was horrible they need to simmer that down a bit.

Seahawks OL like looked like crap for about 58 minutes. Neither team wanted to win this game. Seahawks got very lucky. If they play like this next week in LA they will be blown out. Gilliam and Sowell are the weak links of the OL. There was edge pressure on Wilson all day.

Expect a tough game next week and the same score.Your just going to have to learn how to like wins no matter how ugly they are.

All fair points. That said, it wasn't really a prevent D that allowed Miami to score a TD. Gase has been known to save cover-3 beaters for the final drive of the game, he did it against us when he was Denver's OC in 2014, remember that crazy game when Manning tied it up 20-20 in the final seconds on like 3 wheel routes?

That's why I wasn't comfortable AT ALL when Seattle was nursing that 6-3 lead, because Miami was avoiding their cover 3 beater plays and with a clever coach like Gase it was pretty obvious he was waiting to spring those on Seattle at the last minute for a sneaky win. Detroit did something similar to Seattle and nearly pulled off the road upset last year.

There were a couple illegal plays that the Phins got away with, the face mask on Russ...We settled for our first 3 points, when in reality, it should have been a first down for the Seahawks in the Red Zone.
Oh well, the Refs miss a lot in most games.

He is so clever he pissed away 3 easy points by going for it on 4th down deep in our territory.

I wasn't impressed with Gase.

No more three man rush it doesn't work and we got burned bad when we used that defensive front.

We were lucky to win this game. You're right on all your points, and there were things on both sides, but all things being equal, if Stills catches a perfect pass and walks into the end zone, we lose that game.

And it had nothing to do with refs, skill by our guys or anything but luck that he dropped that. Stills isn't a scrub.

What if Earl didn't whiff on that Stills play, he was lucky Earl was off his game or miscommunication somewhere. At the same time if Stills made that TD and we lost maybe Wilson wouldn't get hurt.

The game was sloppy by both teams. You could create just as long of a list to go the other way:

- Russell gets his ankle sprained and loses mobility threat and ability to step into throws.

- Seahawks go for it on 4th and inches instead of taking points

- Seahawks missed an extra point

- Kam gets called for a phantom 15 yard penalty while player had foot in bounds.

-Earl forgets how to play free safety for the game.

Don't forget the deep ball with 20 seconds left where they let Stills get wide open but Tannehill overthrew. Probably would have been game.
