Hopefully he starts to see the light of day this time around. It took that one Houston 1st round pick a few years to get his act together. Forget his name, but we traded for him, then he went somewhere else, then finally came alive in Philly.

Your right. These young men arrive with wildly varying maturity make ups. Some arrive here mature. And some don't. Seems more efficient to pick the immature ones up on the rebound. Never hurts to look when a opportunity arrives in sync with a need.

One of the more exploswive pass rushers in his draft class. Very good jump numbers . . . right up there with a guy we drafted, Ty Powell.

Just watched his college tape against a very good Alabama line. yeah, it was 3 years ago, but it what we have. He's very explosive off the snap when pass rushing, and converts that to good bullrush power. Shows a decent spin move, but not a lot of other counters and very little edge bend. As a pass rusher, he beats you with the initial burst or not at all. But that burst is good enough to create a lot of penetration.

He's persistant against the running, making plays sideline to sideline away from his side of the field, and pursuing downfield. He doesn't quit on plays. But he's easily pushed around and doesn't show the same burst as a run defender that he shows when pass rushing.

back then he was playing at 250lbs, and I guess hes now closer to the 280 range, so maybe he's developed some power in his lower body.

He never started in 3 seasons with new York, and the raiders released him in training camp. He was picked up as a free agent off of the street. This is just a deep roster backup until Bennett gets back. I don't see him getting many snaps.

My guess is Moore must've checked out as a viable edge rusher.....living here in Jersey, I always thought he was a good player, just not sure he was used properly by the Giants (giants waste more talent than almost any team in the league).

Moore needs to be with a cast of characters like SEA has....all Pete has to do is get him upfield and within the scheme of what Bennett and Clemons used to do at the DE position and not ask him to do too much.

I think we may see Mike Morgan back at end of the year, but this allows Marsh to be in that spot. I'm not sure Morgan will be as important IF Moore can be a contributor when Bennett comes back.

When was the last time we got a meaningful contribution from a mid-season signee? (serious question, not rhetorical)

Babin who was good for us but holmgren didn't want to play him. I went to the last game he played for Seattle. It was the 2008 opening game in Buffalo where we got blown out and marshawn ran all over us. Babin was the only guy on the defensive line getting constant pressure. Then we cut him a few days later.

He also never really got it in Houston because he was a 4-3 DE and Houston played him as an OLB in space.

Never understood why Holmgren got rid of him. He was our best edge rusher at that time.

Jason Babin was his name He even had an 18 sack season with the Eagles. Got into Holmgren's doghouse and was never let out.
