Say we finish 11-4-1 and another team finishes 11-5- are we above the other team OR tied with them?????

Ahead of them. Tie is half of a win, or if you like half of a loss.

We'd have a better record. Which is why I was way more happy about a tie than if we had lost to the Cardinals. Obviously it was disappointing to blow the win, but it could have been worse.

More detail:

In the NFL standings are determined by win percentage, which equals the number of wins plus half the number of ties divided by the number of games. So a 11-4-1 team would have a win percentage of:

11.5/16 or .719.

An 11-5 team would have a win percentage of:

11/16 or .688

I was "projecting" for the NFC 2nd best record, assuming Dallas at #1.

I think we will finish 12-3-1

Here is a different perspective. Hockey scores their record by points. While the NFL does not have a "point column" one can still calibrate a record the same way the NHL does.

Win = 2 pts
Tie = 1 pt
Loss = 0 pts

or you can do this

Win = 1.000
Tie = .500
Loss = .000

IDK

Dallas is 5-0 on the road, and have not had much home field success since the new stadium opened. I think the Cowboys win, but that is one stadium that doesn't really scare me as an opponent.

I don't even see one more loss in the Cowboys schedule, let alone two. Thanks Steelers!

But that's OK, if there's one thing we've learned about the Hawks in the Pete Carroll era, this team travels...........and it travels well.

We're well situated to get at least one home playoff game, and likely a bye week. It's hard to be dissatisfied with that after our slow start and injuries.

This. Since Jerry World opened up, they're like 62% winning percentage. They're not too scary at home, while that run game travels well.

It might be an advantage due to travel and the comforts of being at home, but it's not a hostile environment. If we can win at NE, we can win there.

I just care about the first round bye to get rested up. #2 is fine.

If things continue to play out as they are currently I can't wait to see Kam vs Elliott 2.0

We got a little taste in the preseason. It was a fun battle with both guys looking tough but I think Kam will have a little something extra for Elliott if/when they meet again when the game actually counts.
