Maybe 10 AM games aren't the problem...

Maybe it's Cross Country flights. Team definitely looked lethargic out there.

Well then it's time to consider just how lucky we were that it wasn't a 10 am game.

They left a day early to have time to rest up from the flight.

I don't think the long flight was the issue.

It wasn't a problem flying cross country and beating the Patriots or Jets.

The problem is flying across the country and then sleepwalking through a game when your opponent is kicking your ass on both sides of the ball being the more aggressive physically dominating team.

The Bucs are a good young team, but they're not that good. No excuses, especially on the offensive side of the ball to look that terrible and executing as poorly as we did from every position. O-line, RB's, WR's and Russell playing like hot garbage.

We deserved to lose that game yesterday.

Tampa Bay showed up to play. They wanted it much more than we did, clearly.

I think there was some underestimation. The Bucs are coming around. They have won 3 straight, 5 of 7, and damn near beat arguably the best team in the NFL (Oakland).

Every week it seems the Hawks show up.. But, not until the opponent easily scores. We just don't seem to show up ready to play until we get hit a few times.

Didn't hurt it was a sell out for the first time since,.. what, their Super Bowl? How are you going to disappoint that?

Injuries and desire are why we lost. Nothing more, nothing less.

You come into a game flat, especially on the road against a young team with a lot of confidence after a huge road win.. And you get what happened yesterday.

And despite that, if not for the Graham fumble, there's a real good chance we drive down the field and win the game.

So yeah we will be ok.

Though there is a fairly large body of data that clearly shows that your body is significantly impacted by even a 4 hour flight, for up to 48 hours.

That includes strength, endurance, recovery and a host of other measurables.

Frankly, that is not an excuse but it did affect things. It had to have because your body is affected by travel.

Or, maybe it's coaching and coaching strategies, or philosophy weaknesses, execution, lack of depth, lack of quality starters on the O line? Na you're probably right, probably cross country flights and 10am east coast games. Just wonder why teams like NE and Dallas never seem to have problems with flying cross country and time zone changes?

Injuries??? All our injuries are on D other than Britt, and he was ready to go in an emergency. So our D only allowed 14 points, and if Bennett, Thomas, and Shed were in the game would it have made that much of a difference? So they allow 1 TD instead of 2. We still lose. They allow 2 field goals, we still lose. Time to put that argument to rest. If we were 100% healthy on D, offense still needs to score more than 3.

It was more than injuries. We also made too many mistakes with turnovers, Russell not being sharp and an overall lack of matching Tampa's physicality.............which is the one that shocks me.

The defense kinda righted the ship, but the offense got pushed around and beat up the entire game. That's not a Pete Carroll team, especially at the end of November.

Well because Dallas is centrally located so there isn't a such thing as a cross country flight. And lets not act like they are some picture of constancy. This year they are good the previous decade....hardly consistent. And NE well the NFL makes rules that they don't have to cross the country more then once a year.... thats why.
