Expect a renewed emphasis on running the ball next week. Whether that stays in the following week, we'll see. We've been as inconsistent in ground roots coaching philosophy as we have been at all other things this year.

It starts at the top, coaches!

Pete: We're going to establish the run.
Reality: Pass heavy from the middle of the second quarter on.

Maybe OUR real problem is that we NEVER establish the run.

Rawls looked good today too. Just too many awful throws out of Russell, the ints generally gave GB a short field.

THIS! More than anything makes it hard for a defense that starts slow.

This Cable is half head coach/linecoach with Bevell as OC is just pure dysfunction on the offensive side of the ball.

I think we have coaching issues on both sides of the ball. The offense and Wilson looked like crap, but they didn't surrender the 38 points. Even with a few short fields for the Packers that should not have happened.

This team may no effort to show up today at all.

I dunno, any execution in the first half by our QB and the philosophy looks fine.
Russ can, and needs to, fix his crap.

What happened to the dump offs to a rb leaking out of the backfield?. So Prosise is literally the ONLY person capable of this on the roster?. Sure would beat heavy pressure.

If heavy pressure were the problem today I'd say fine.
From what I saw Russ couldn't even hit the short throws to backs.

Maybe next week they'll get Reece more involved in that aspect of the game, that is where he supposedly excels.

I think Marcel Reese is going to help with this.

Reese had a pretty good day all things considering.

The sideline pass to Reece was the best dime of the game from Wilson until the throw that Kearse dropped and then tanner caught.

It could be a unifying event. Worse loss of Carrol era. Many players worst loss ever probably. Kinda mutes any elite discussion of Wilson for a long time I think. There was nothing elite there today and its not just today.

Pete: we had some great battles out there, we just need to get better.

I am thinking it may be time for Pete to tear this team a new one.

It is a slippery slope for a coach to "go off" on his team because if you do it too much, then the team will tune you out, but if Pete were to go in the room, and smash a whiteboard or something, and call these guys out, then I think it may send a message to these guys to get right.
