Seattle - 235
New England - 230
Minni - 225
Dallas - 238
Ravens - 237

They all have one less game than us. It is still within reasonable reach with our soft schedule going forward.

Another stat that this one helps is our net points. There are only a handful of teams in the league with a better split. Each of them is an offensive juggernaut.

OP can you edit tittle for title, they mean two very different things. lol

Hopefully we can get the scoring title again, I'm certain we have better odds than most of those teams listed.

I posted this in the other scoring defense thread, I updated with tonight's score, 3 points helps tremendously.
********************

I really hope they get the scoring title 5 years in a row, that would be an awesome feat.

I quickly went through the numbers of the remaining games to get a picture of what they are facing.

Currently they are 3rd

Vikings - 225
Patriots - 230
Hawks - 235 (two games remaining)
Ravens - 237
Cowboys - 238
Broncos - 242

I took the current points and added in the scoring avg (home/away) for each team's last 3 opponents. Hawks have a good chance but that have to keep all their opponents at or below their average.

Vikings 225 + 70.9 (Colts 29.3, @Packers 26.3, Bears 15.3) = 295.9
Pats 230 + 71.3 (@Broncos 25.3, Jets 19, @Dolphins 27) = 301.3
Hawks 235 + 42.8 (AZ 22.8, @49ers 20) = 277.8
Ravens 237 + 71.8 (Eagles 21, @Steelers 28, @Bengals 22.8) = 308.8
Cowboys 238 + 70.3 (Bucs 22.7, Lions 23.8, @Eagles 23.8) = 308.3
Broncos 242 + 78.9 (Patriots 29.3, @chiefs 23.5, Raiders 26.1) = 320.9

This also depends on if my data and math are correct ;)

Well we held AZ to 6 points in their house.

Then we have SF which is just god awful. If they play Kap, we're even better as we own him and our defense is very familiar with him.

looking at the math...AZ scores 22 and I think they get no where near that.
SF averages 20 and I'd be surprised if they hit double digits unless we're resting starters at that point.

The thing that stings is that, even a mediocre defensive performance against Green Bay would have essentially sealed it up.

Vikings are doing their part. If the Pats give up 6 or more today then we will be back on top with 2 weeks to go.

Minnesota are going to be out of the race after this week.

Baltimore given up 14 in first half so far, so Seattle should have a comfy lead assuming New England don't blank Denver later :D

Giants only giving up 3 points so far though, they are coming right into contention but don't think they can catch Seahawks unless we give up 25-30 to Arizona.

So now we have;

New England - 230.
Seattle - 235.
Cowboys - 238.
Broncos -242.
Ravens -253.
Vikings - 259.

With New England, Dallas and Denver still to play?

Sick!

?

We're currently down two to New England, which is probably our biggest threat. The shellacking took the Vikings out of contention, and I don't think anyone else is close enough. New England, however, is a serious threat to that title, no matter how many we allow the next two games.

Yes, New England is going to be a problem. They have the Jets and Miami remaining. :x

I will update the tracker chart after the stats are officially updated.

Through 12/18 games.

Patriots - 233
Hawks - 235
Giants - 250
Cowboys - 258
Broncos - 258
Vikings - 259

Pats 233 + 46 (Jets 19, @Dolphins 27) = 279
Hawks 235 + 42.8 (AZ 22.8, @49ers 20) = 277.8
Giants 250 + (@Eagles 23.8, @Skins 27.5) = 301.3
Cowboys 258 + 45.1 (Lions 21.3, @Eagles 23.8 ) = 303.1
Broncos 258 + 47.8 (@chiefs 22.6, Raiders 25.2) = 305.8

This is going to be a very tight race to the end. Hawks need big defensive stands, in these last games, to win the title.

That Packers score really sticks out and in my craw.

Go Jets!
