Depth is a glaring issue and comfy starters/back-ups who don't show up need to be put on notice. Same goes for coordinators on both sides of the ball. Today, Kyle shanahan put Kris Richard in a headlock. The offense sputtered once again against a very average defense. It's amazing how much more crisp and efficient their offense runs than ours, especially given the talent we have, and id say a lot of that is scheme. Every blitz package we sent had hot routes built right in to beat it.
Jeremy Lane does not deserve his contract. Deshawn shead needs to be upgraded. Interior DL pressure needs improvement.
Linebackers had best season of their careers but didn't show up at all today.
Fant may be the worst lineman I've ever seen. There were multiple times today he didn't even get a hand on the person standing in front of him. It isn't his fault he was thrust into his, but he better not be the plan going forward. In fact the entire offensive line needs evaluations outside of Justin Britt.
The utter lack of building a game plan around utilizing Jimmy graham is criminal. I do not care teams double team him. Of course they do, all superstars are. Notice how Julio jones was moved all over the field pre-snap to get favorable match ups? Other teams are capable of scheming them, the misuse of him is inexplicable.
The salary cap goes up again, there is money to spend on big FA linemen. It's time.
