IMO most of these defensive signings are about trying to bring back the boom to the STs. JS talked about trying to bring back the toughness identity to the team and one area which has declined somewhat under the radar has been STs.

Similar to Mike Morgan in length, wiry build, attitude, etc. Very good special teamer who led the Steelers in kickoff/punt tackles over three seasons. Played safety in college and is probably little better in coverage than Morgan. I think they will throw him into the competition at SLB. We'll see if he holds up.

I like that they have added three veteran LBs with some experience who are at the peak of their physical abilities and can excel on special teams if they make the roster. Let the competition begin!
