Wow. Some differing opinions on Rawls and Lacy there. Sounds promising.

Didn't like hearing that Russ got sacked though. First day for Ifedi being back. Coincidence?

OL shuffling continues... S.O.S. each season.

The O-line shuffling is like me trying to pick a a good movie to watch on Netflix. Scroll through options for 10 minutes, watch preview, "that looks terrible", repeat until its 11pm, sleep. Next evening, watch one of the movies that had a terrible preview.

Same crap every year. When you have quality, you don't need to shuffle.

Are you referencing the Condotta tweet? Based on something from Samuel Gold that may have been Austin Davis who got sacked. Wilson specifically being sacked wasn't in any tweets here unless I'm just missing it.

Fant beat today, beat over the weekend as well by a reserve DE. Odhiambo getting looks there in addition to Joeckel.

On Brock and Salk this morning he mentioned that he's still getting used to the read option and that his ankle isn't 100% yet.

I agree 100%

Last year 3 new starters and 1 previous starter in new position. This year maybe 2 new starters and 1 position change - If Ifedi gets beat out there will be 3 new starters again. How can you develop players or continuity with this nonsense going on? It's maddening.

Unless and until they change their OL development strategy or fire Cable, the OL will permanently reside in Stinkville.

O'Neil had a pretty good article recently talking about the "strategy" for the Oline and how the cluster**** seems intentional rather than out of necessity.

Got to say - our receivers are looking pretty darn good. (Def. include big Jimmy in this. Dude is fast!)

Then again, our secondary be looking a little tired....

I agree 100%

Can't say that I agree with these conclusions, as we don't actually KNOW whether or not, that Cable is sorting for backup players, I mean, don't we want the best players, and their replacements (pecking order) before the start of regular Season.
And besides all that, some players will obviously pick up nuances of certain position a lot faster than others, and wouldn't we want to find that out sooner rather than later?

AlwaAlso, always going after guys that can play multiple positions on the line is good in theory. Problem is they aren't very good at any one of them.

Getting away from all the negative vibes, I am loving how the rookie CB Griffin is looking. They are raving about him. I cannot wait to see him play!!
