Caroll and Belichik on collision a course?

I agree with Colin Cowherd (see youtube below). Listen to what he says first ... there is some logic to it.
I was alluding to this in a previous comment. Pete and Bill are on collision course for the SB.
The reason Bill is on is because Brady is getting older and the window is closing.
But the reason Pete is on ... is because the window for this super Defense (Bennett, Sherman, Earl, Kam, ...) is closing (and not Russell Wilson mobility).

And also, both these guys (Pete and Bill) are not getting younger ... I feel that one of these guys will retire soon !!!

I agree with his take for the most part. Both teams are doing stuff that in previous years would have been a sin to go for it. I think we made the right move with Sheldon, possibly Joeckel if he holds up, but question Lacy at this point. Either way, Pete and John aren't holding back in 2017, and I like it personally.
