Branden Jackson

This kid was brought up 24hrs. before the Rams game and has balled out. Rating wise he's been our best DE 2 weeks straight. Could we have found another stud for this Defense?

At the very least he's proven to be quality depth, and could be an eventual replacement for Bennett.

I don't think he's reached his ceiling which is exciting.

I heard Brock Huard singing his praises. He was with Oakland last year but didn't stick. I think he will here though!

Good quality cheap depth. This DL as it stands now is probably the deepest it's ever been for us. And that's accounting for the fact that McDowell isn't even on the active roster.

We really don't have any Kevin Williams/Tony McDaniel aged vets on the roster to fill out depth. It's all young guys who are producing well for us in the rotation.

Another case possibly of Pete using him at what he does best and not asking him to do other stuff.

If Freeney doesn't look measurably better than Jackson the Hawks should pass. Jordan has a chance to join the roster in a few weeks.

Seattle wouldn't be cutting Jackson to bring in Freeney. They have an open spot to fill with Avril going to IR. There's no downside to bringing in Freeney for now and then cutting him if/when they really think Dion Jordan is ready to play.

Wicked, but ineffective since he loses balance and momentum. Maybe this guy is the reason that they are looking at Freeney? Teach him better footwork with the spin because it is fast and potentially lethal.

Something like 7 pressures in 2 games playing limited snaps? Not bad at all.

I like that Jackson is retweeting all the news about him doing well. He's using it as fuel and it is working so far.

This signing completely snuck by me somehow. He popped off the screen against LA and I had no idea who he was. Good quality depth with great potential. Another great DL find by this staff.

Mind if I derail this thread and say how terrible our o line looks trying to block him in practice?

In regards to Jackson, he looks like a solid addition to provide some depth along the D line. Hopefully he continues to develop

In one of the previous posts he has seven pressures in a handful of snaps so he has the ability to make more than our line look foolish.
