Watching MNF Carson Wentz is looking like a strong MVP candidate. Of course Brady and Alex Smith are getting support and maybe Drew Brees. I think Russ should be the leader Really all those Qb's have respectable to very good running games Russ does not and is working behind an offensive line that is going through growing pains. The Seahawks backs are averaging less than 3.5 yds a carry. Only Mckissic who only has nine carries for 48 yds. 30 on his TD carry against the Colts is averaging better. In short Russ is carrying the offense while not an elite offense how could it be under the circumstances it may be enough to contend for a SB appearance.

I don't think so. He's had his fair share of awful moments.

No way It's all Baldwin. /s

He's not in the race, nor should he be....yet.

That being said, he has to will this team into the endzone as he is getting battered around like a rag doll. It is hard to watch. Might be averaging 0 points per with another qb.

MVP not even close this year unless he starts lighting it up, less drops, less high throws, more TD's.

He's not in the top 8 of NFL QBs but should be an MVP candidate? Not even in fantasy football.

Wagner and Earl are better choices from this team.

He couldn't even do it in 2015 when he was the MVP. Eagles started hot last year too.

He just throws the ball up and prays. Seriously! Some of those jump balls go your way but that’s not a sustainable offense. There is NO MVP’s on that pathetic offense. Defense is carrying the team.

I wouldn't call NO, NE and Philly great running teams.

Seems to doing just that. In three weeks the Seahawks will be 7-2 and waiting for Philadelphia. The team to worry about is New Orleans because Brees with a run game and an average defense is better then Brady with the same because he doesn't have a noodle arm.

He won a Superbowl with similar in 2009. That's the team to watch currently. As of right now Seattle should go 13-3 and that should be good enough for HFA throughout the playoffs. Jacksonville should be their only back half loss. Just because that defense is very good, they run well and Borlters (sp) is being leashed like Keapernick another one read wonder.

^ Watson is like Rodgers - elusive. I expect major issues where Houston will get first down after converting third and long over and overnagain

C'mon man back off the ledge immediately. The Seahawks are primed to run the table with how schedule sets up. It literally could not be better.

The only way Wilson gets into the MVP conversation is if he starts averaging 300+ yards and 3+ TDs per game. That's just not the way we are set up offensively. As great as Wilson is, and what he has to overcome, he's more of a 250 ypg/2 TD type of QB in this system and those are not MVP numbers.

I totally agree there is no MVP on this offense, and the defense is the key to the Seahawks success. But it seems like you enjoy trolling, are you a Hawks fan? Because even the biggest Wilson hater will acknowledge he has been much more than a chuck n ducker.

I'm the biggest Russ supporter, and I feel the criticism of him is often unfair. But no, not MVP. Your argument makes sense in terms of everything he's had to overcome, but that's not how this works. He will only have a chance of winning one when he gets consistent protection. OR, if he miraculously puts up huge numbers behind this O-line

That's pretty much what he's done over the last 4 games - 1200 yards and 10 TDs in a spell that included 3 road games and only 1 home game.

Given our running game woes, Wilson is going to have to pick up the slack more than ever this year - and in the next 6 game spell (sorry, but the Eagles have been our whipping boys for a decade now, ESPECIALLY in prime time), Wilson easily has a chance to ramp up his stats - if he puts up another 300 yard 3 TD game against the Texans, I'd say he'll start to put himself into the outside-chance MVP conversation, and with our only road game in the next 4 against the terrible Cards - he's got a good chance to really put his name in there.

10 TD's since Week 3. Still behind a few others, but he's had one less game to do it, too.

He's having a damn good year considering what he has to work with. Plenty of room to get better, and he is getting better as the season progresses. He can't win with many, and that's fine, but he's $.

That must be why he is always among the league leaders in fewest interceptions year after year. Good god, where are all these smart phone football fans coming from around here?

To the OP...no. Sorry, Russell is not having an MVP type year. And no, they will not consider the piss poor oline. Is what it is.

He won't be considered for MVP, but he is having a good season that will get better. If someone doesn't see that, they clearly are not watching.
