To those that claim Wilson is not a tier 1 franchise QB or he is finished.....read it and weep.

To all others. Enjoy.

Russell Wilson
QB
Seahawks
5

Are the Seahawks finally a passing team? Wilson has the deepest, healthiest, in-form group of receivers of his career with Paul Richardson and Tyler Lockett now helping out Doug Baldwin. Wilson has made more big plays from the pocket since the bye week and the acquisition of tackle Duane Brown bodes well for the rest of the season.

2017 stats: 7 games | 63.6 pct | 2,008 pass yds | 7.8 ypa | 15 pass TD | 4 INT | 194 rush yds | 1 TD

I'm not surprised. There are people in the comment section that are saying MVP. I guess that makes him the flavor of the week.

If the run game actually shows up in a decent capacity, MVP could become a reachable goal.

I love Russell Wilson, but this whole thing is ripe for some serious recency bias.

At this pace, he'll once again throw for the most yards in his career (he's done it every year in the league)

2012 - 3,118

2013 - 3,357

2014 - 3,475

2015 - 4,024

2016 - 4,219

2017 - 4,589 (projected)

Up every year.

Just one more reason I do not understand the opinions here that Wilson's best days are behind him. Dumbfounding.

I am surprised with how his numbers look in comparison to the rest of the pack. Other quarterbacks that are known for their offensive prowess he is ahead in terms of numbers. Only 1 td off of Brady. Although it may have to do with other yes having a running game.

Of course there's some recency bias here. But people are saying MVP because the last game was nothing short of amazing. Very rare that a Qb puts up those numbers with ZERO running game, and no Julio/Odell like receiver.

It's a week to week league. Our praise of Qbs is always based on recency bias. But it's not as if Russell has had one good game. He's been quietly keeping this team afloat while some dismiss him

The fact is, there has never been a time when Russell had decent protection and didn't produce at a high level. He has been a miracle worker behind our low paid, low ranked O-line

Brady has played one game more than Wilson also

If he has a big mistake free game, he may pass up even the top qb in the game. Although I didn't realize how lights out Alex Smith is playing. Thank you 49ers for getting rid of him for CK, great choice!

Another one hopefully. Redskins have decent cbs, so may be a big day for 88.

Not sure I get this. It is based on the entire season so far not just the past game. Not to mention he is on pace for his best season. Doesn't mean he'll do it but he as 15 TDs in 7 games, pretty impressive. Have to see how the last 9 games go but so far so good.

He's one of the best in the league, don't really matter if he gets MVP. He finishes as well as most QB's that have ever played the game. He's carrying the team, which many claim he can't do.
