Does Homefield even matter anymore?

This is becoming embarrassing to watch. We could be very well exposed as a very bad team in the second half of our schedule.

Homefield does matter if this team wants to go to the superbowl but at this rate they are gona need to find a way to just win the division. I think overall the Rams are probably better.

The bold literally just happened. I would say this is just another lump on the chin but I don't think this team does much at this rate comes playoffs there are too many "happenings" going on.

Poor coaching, too many penalties, bad offense, leaky defense etc, bad o line etc.

The Redskins were missing like half of their good players too.

The home mystique is gone. Although that was already apparent when the Niners, of all teams, nearly pulled one off in week 2.

Lol, blaming the field. Let's just say it: the Seahawks might kinda suck now. Our roster is packed with talent, but our coaches have no idea what to do with it.

Their defense still played well though and their coaching staff definitely had our number.

It will in the playoffs. The bye week is important and not having to travel in the postseason helps. Right now the team is not great and needs to just claw their way up to a playoff spot.

Inside or at a warm place. Russell isn't good in bad weather.

I think we have already been exposed.

There is a very real possibility that this team finishes with 9 or less wins. I know the majority narrative right now is on the negative side but after seeing this team do the flip flop through 8 games you have to be realistic and accept it. Homefield in the playoffs is not something worth worrying about right now. I don't think anyone can say with a straight face that HFA is a realistic goal.

People say we are inconsistent.

We are very consistent.

For 3 quarters we will move up and down the field, occasionally getting into FG range but in no hurry to score.

The defense will usually get a turnover to give us the ball in scoring position. We will attempt a FG with the field position.

The defense will hand us short field repeatedly, which the offense will turn into punts or FG attempts (usually makes but FGs are still failures).

We will find ourselves suddenly behind after the opposing offense manages to get a good play after getting stymied multiple times. Suddenly with the team needing to score - we will march down the field and score a rare TD.

Because the game will be so close, one or two iffy calls will have a large impact on the game.

And we will play like this all year, eventually getting into a wildcard game, winning, and then getting absolutely destroyed by whatever team we play next.

Then everyone will talk about how next year will be different.

How can playing like we did today get us into a Wild Card Game? You have great faith!

The offense may be consistently bad but the defense has been inconsistent.
