Seattle Seahawks 2017 Penalties

At first I thought this was a slight overreaction in regards to the numbers but it might not be. In accessing the "most penalized team in NFL history" the following statistics are based on an individual seasonal basis as opposed to which team has the most penalties throughout the NFL history.
*TPYDS= total penalized yards

Historic most penalized teams in NFL.

1998 Kansas City Chiefs:
Number: 158
TPYDS: 1304

1969 Oakland Raiders
TPYDS: 1274

1996 Oakland Raiders
Number: 156
TPYDS: 1266

2017 most penalized teams in the NFL, so far.
Seattle Seahawks
Number: 82
TPYDS: 672

New York Jets
Number: 73
TPYDS: 662

Kansas City Chiefs:
Number: 72

2017 Seattle Seahawks penalty statistics, so far.

So they are averaging 84 penalty yards a game this year.

If that pace stands, they will commit enough penalties to equal 1,344 yards for the season.

That pretty much places them in the lead!

Sadly, I can absolutely see it happening....
