Game manager.

In January.

Wilson has won playoff games in January every year since his rookie season. He is also 2-0 in January during the regular season. January is actually his best statistical month during the regular season with a 108.7 QB rating.

Overall, Wilson is 9-3 in January games, including two NFC Championships and four game-winning drives. He has completed 215/350 passes for 2,779 yards, 20 TDs, and 9 INTs, plus two rushing TDs on 60 rushes for 354 yards (5.90 y/c).

Wilson is actually 5th all-time in most game-winning drives in the playoffs (since 1960). And he is by far the youngest QB on this list. Wilson is two more playoff game-winning drives away from tying John Elway for 2nd most in NFL history:

Remind me, when was the last time the 49ers played meaningful football in January? I forget.

2002.

After the Sharpie incident, the karma kept the Niners out of the playoffs ever since.
