Is this guy still on the team?
What on earth is going on with him - he has been invisible. I literally never hear his name called.

He's been battling nagging injuries. None of the pass rushers showed up for the most part last night. Where was Dwight Freeney? Sheldon Richardson had the only Seahawk sack and that was with about 2 minutes left in the game.

Zero tackles. Zero sacks, Zero pressures. When the going gets tough, the tough get going. I guess Clark and Bennett are not tough.

Dline pressure was a must in this game and they failed to get pressure.

Zero hits on Ryan until the 4th quarter. Dline F for QB pressure. Too much $$ and high draft investment to allow this crap. And yes McDowell, you and your red flags ignored by Pete are part of the problem.

QB Ryan was quite accurate last night....it helps when one has "all day" to find receivers!! I was so disappointed in our Defense last night. It has fallen from elite to below average.

Clark is a solid D line man but that's as far as it goes. He was over hyped coming out of college. He's good and I'll take him but not nearly in the class of the top edge rushers in the NFL. Don't give me sack totals because unless in correlates with a large number of pressures, hurries TFL, the sack statistic is worthless.

Set honest expectations for Frank Clark and it will allow you to make the right roster moves. Expecting more than what is possible will get you what we have...wishing and wanting.

- When it absolutely mattered the most...

But yeah more pressure prior to that would have been nice for sure.

.

This guy gets it. (Although I don’t know where Clark grades out on these more predictive statistics. Has his snap count gone up? That often leads to decreased performance on a per play basis, to the consternation of fans everywhere who want to believe their specialists will easily convert into equally or more effective full timers).

He's had some good games, but I don't see him applying constant pressure on the QB and see him getting stonewalled on most pass rushes or washed out. I could be wrong.

He's always been better at playing the run than rushing the passer. Needs to play faster off the ball and develop more of an arsenal.

I'd say he doesn't have the freshness he could take advantage of, filling in for Avril, and has had more responsibility in a starting role.

To be fair, Richardsons sack came at the most crucial point in the game for the defense. Have to give credit to that.

The Atlanta Oline was getting away with blatant holding on damn near every play. It's no wonder our Dline didn't have a great night with QB pressures/sacks.

Frank Clark is a more effective pass rusher from the right side. Freeney was playing that side, relegating Clark to the left side. Freeney did little, and lost contain on Ryan's long 3rd down scrambe for a first down. Freeney got released.

Expect Clark to be back on the Right side for pass rushing, and to be more visible in games. Recall Clark's strip-sack on Jared Goff in the Rams game vs. an all-pro LT. That was from the right side.
