It is as good as they come. He separates from man coverage a lot with his precise route running. He is as crisp as they come in route running. I smile when teams go Cover zero vs Doug and Russ.

A) Russ is gonna take the hit and make the throw

And

B) Doug is going to break ankles and make the catch.

I was super impressed with the heads up play in the endzone where he wasn't targeted but had the awareness to slow up and effectively block his coverage to allow for a TD.

The NFL world has been kind of slow in realizing how good ADB is. He's been durable, too. :2thumbs:

We are going to look back with fondness to the days of Russ-to-Doug.

It belongs right up there with Hasselbeck-to-Engram and even dare I say Zorn-to-Largent.

It's getting there. Hopefully we get a few more years of it. :2thumbs:

His route running is so crisp. There aren't many WR's who so effortlessly make cuts to get free.

The move he put on Josh Norman, a pro bowl CB, at the line for the late TD was absurd.

And don't forget the screen he put on for Lockett on his TD catch. ;)

Yep. I was going through "Seahawks withdrawal" yesterday waiting for the game (the one thing I loathe about night games), so I went on YouTube and watched some Russell Wilson highlights and he and Dougie Fresh have connected on some absolutely BEAUTIFUL plays together! He's a hard hat and lunch pail, blue collar BALLER. He's made some very great, TIMELY passes for us. He doesn't drop the easy passes, and even manages to catch the ones thrown 5yards in front of him. As well, when he gets a pass that ends up behind him, he's able to turn around in a split second, catch it, and cut up the field as if he was headed that direction all along! Ring of Honor has a spot waiting for both of them!

It's already surpassed both of those

Give me a break!

Largent 100 TD's
Baldwin 40 TD's

Largent 13,089 yds
Baldwin 5736.

When Largent retired he held EVERY major NFL receiving record there was. He still holds 10 Seahawks receiving records to Baldwins (1) (most TD's in a season).

Baldwin is an excellent receiver, but he is no Steve Largent.

Baldwin reminds me of Largent....................quick, precise, smart, crafty.

There are quite a few insanely athletically gifted WR's in the NFL, but there are very few master craftsman like Baldwin who win their route battles consistently through all of the things I mentioned above.

Just as did 14% or 788 yards of Baldwins total yards came from T-Jack.

Doug's route running is some of the best. I honestly think he and Keenan Allen are the two best route runners in the game. Crisp, fluid, deceptive. They are extremely fun receivers to watch.

Steve Largent and Doug spent some time together I think his second season, Doug wanted to pick his brain about running routes setting guys up and how to study defenders.
