Getting Key Players Back at the Right Time?

With our big win last night, I've been thinking about our playoff push and giving ourselves a legit chance. These are the players we could have back from injury assuming we handle business and make it into the playoffs:

1) Chris Carson
2) Deshawn Shead
3) Dion Jordan
4) Nazair Jones

Seems like we'll have an improved secondary with Shead, and a really good backfield in Carson + Mike Davis. Even better? Each of those players have something to prove. We can beat ourselves against anyone but I truly believe we can win it all when we play disciplined and smart

Pretty sure Prosise can still make it back as well.

He was actually placed on Injured Reserve the day we took Mike Davis off of the practice squad:

Thank you for the link. :2thumbs:

Yes he can still make it back for post season.

Could it be Percy Harvin Round 2? :snack:

but Prosise will have to spend at least eight weeks on IR, which means he won't be eligible to return until the postseason. Carroll said Prosise will be racing with rookie running back Chris Carson to see who can come off IR first.

So you would be against a guy coming back and helping the team in the playoffs? Strange.

If Carson is back.

Carson
Davis
McKissic
Lacy

The will not cut Lacy so which productive player do you put on waivers?

Prosise's problem has never been his ability when he has actually seen the field. He's a very explosive runner who adds another dimension to the offense. His problem has been staying healthy. Resting him until the end of the season or the playoffs could really help the team, in addition to having Carson back.

I do not get the ado about Shead. What have we really been missing without him? Our secondary looks solid, even deep, and has ever since Kam and Sherm got knocked out.

I think that is why they can afford to ease him back slowly. But if Coleman, Maxwell, or Griffin get hurt . . . we will badly need Shead back. Shead can also play safety if needed. God forbid, Earl Thomas gets hurt again.

There is a chance Shead could practice on a limited basis this week.

I don't know, to me he's no worse than Maxwell, probably better....

Somehow pass first is working

I am just scared about getting Carson back for the playoffs and then losing because we refuse to pass the ball....

But we need him just hope he is fitted into the current team vs the opposite

Shead is a better option outside vs Maxwell, although I like both.

You can never have too many corners. Remember Super Bowl 49? *shudders*

Isn't Cliff Avril able to return the game before cowboys?

Cliff got or is going to get surgery soon, so he's not coming back this year. I think having Shead in our pocket will be really beneficial from a depth perspective. We're missing three studs on defense, but the rest of the guys are coming back or close to it.

People were saying the same thing about Paul Richardson not too long ago.
